If you would like to sing with us, please complete our enquiry form. We will get back to you with the date and time of the next rehearsal, when you can come and meet us informally. Normally our Music Director will arrange an interview at which you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the choir, and he may ask you to sing for him to find out the range and character of your voice.
You will be invited to join us if it seems that your voice, your musical experience and your interests match the choir's profile. It may not be possible to join straight away if we are already well into preparing for a concert, but you will be able to join for the following concert, and you will be very welcome to come and listen to us of course! If we feel that you are not ready to join QPS, we will offer information about other choirs in the area.
Where we meet
In normal times we rehearse, and often perform, at the Church of St Anne and St Andrew, 125 Salusbury Road, NW6 6RG (map). Rehearsals are on Sunday evenings, 6.20 to 9.00 pm, usually for about eight consecutive weeks leading up to each concert. The building which was developed in 1997 is home to two churches and includes a home for the London Inter-faith centre. The whole building has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere and has all the facilities needed, including disabled access. The church itself has excellent acoustics for rehearsal purposes.
The subscription year runs from 1st October to 30th September. Recognising that for the time being we cannot offer our usual programme of live music-making, we have set the membership fee at £100 for the whole of the 2020/21 season, with a concessionary rate of £40. This will remain the case even if, as we very much hope, we are able to revert to our usual programme of live rehearsals and concerts.
