About us

Queen's Park Singers are a friendly choir based in Queen's Park London NW6. Our aim is to sing to a standard that gives pleasure to our audiences and is rewarding for us.  Our repertoire ranges from choral music from the Tudor period to works by contemporary composers.  We often perform with a chamber orchestra. Our Music Director is Oliver Till.

We usually give three concerts each season, in December, March/April and June.  For each concert, we rehearse over a period of about two months, meeting on Sunday evenings at St Anne's Church, 125 Salusbury Road, London NW6 6RG.

We welcome new members who share our aim of performing to a standard which will be rewarding for our audience. So you would need to:

  • enjoy singing the classical repertoire;
  • read music, or be willing to learn;
  • be interested in developing your musicianship and vocal skills;
  • attend rehearsals regularly; and
  • practise between rehearsals.

Knowing the score

A workshop with Mary Phillips

We hold regular training workshops for choir members on aspects of musicianship and vocal technique.  We provide information about access to music learning aids for each concert,.

The members of the Queens Park Singers mostly live near Queens Park in North West London, but we do also have some friends from further afield.

 WHAT WE HAVE DONE …

Our main activity is putting on concerts. Once a year we organise a vocal workshop which non-members are welcome to attend.

Where we meet when we can…

We have almost always rehearsed at St Anne's Church, 125 Salusbury Road, NW6 6RG. The  building has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere and has all the facilities needed, including disabled access. The church itself has excellent acoustics for rehearsal purposes.
